Cross of Glory Lutheran Church to Hold Its
15th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting, Sunday, Dec. 11th
Christmas song and spirit will be in plentiful supply for the entire community
DEC. 11, 2022 - Aberdeen, NJ -- Cross of Glory Lutheran Church will be holding our 15th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting (but with no Carol Sing) on Sunday, December 11, 2022 @ 5:00 PM.
Despite an expected and resurgent COVID-19 Pandemic at the end of 2022, we still plan on holding our annual outdoor tree lighting portion of this cherished annual event to kick-off the 2022 Christmas Season. Unfortunately, this year we will again not be holding the indoor Carol Singing portion of our annual event.
With the annual size of the Carol Sing attendance surpassing 150+ people inside, it would not be safe enough to hold the indoor portion again this year. With COVID-19, RSV and the Flu rising we don't want to run the risk of people contracting air-born illnesses while singing carols in close quarters with each other. We want to follow and maintain the appropriate social distancing guidelines in order to maintain the health and safety of all in attendance. But we promise to add the Carol Sing portion back in next year in 2023.
Unlike the past, this year’s evening will begin and conclude exclusively outdoors. We will sing a few Christmas carols and then conclude with the lighting of our Christmas tree and Nativity Set! Our goal is to still offer families and friends an opportunity to gather together outside to share some of the simple joys of the Christmas Season, twinkling lights and a sense of community! This evening promises to be fun for people of all ages, so everyone is invited to attend in-person or watch virtually via Facebook Live.
Thank you and we hope to see you there!
