IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM CHURCH COUNCIL IN-PERSON SUNDAY SERVICES SUSPENDED Dear Cross of Glory Family, As you have most likely read or heard in the news recently, the numbers of COVID cases and hospitalizations in recent weeks is rising at a faster rate in the state of New Jersey. Separately, Pastor Pezet also had a Zoom Meeting with Bishop Bartholomew yesterday and she also heavily recommended all churches in the NJ Synod consider halting in-person services for everyone's safety. In light of these development, and taking into account the fact that the state is again placing limits on public gatherings, we have decided to suspend in-person services for the foreseeable future, effective immediately. We also had our first case of an attendee at the Nov. 22 service testing positive for COVID. Everyone who attended service has been notified, in accordance with contact tracing protocols. We will be assessing the situation on a week-to-week basis in hopes we can return to in-person service sometime soon, and we will keep you up to date on that progress. Pastor Pezet is working with Jeremy Samuelson to set up a pre-recorded service so that we can worship virtually during this time on Cross of Glory’s Facebook page, and we are grateful to them for making the effort. Meanwhile, Jeremy had planned to hand out the remaining pledge cards for 2021 giving this Sunday, but Cahren Morris has mailed them. We ask that you continue to support our church by returning your 2021 pledge card either by mail or scanning/emailing. We want to wish you all a warm and safe Thanksgiving, wherever you are. God bless you and keep you safe! Blessings, The Cross of Glory Church Council
